Luke Lamar, self portrait

Most known for his murals in homes along 17 Mile Drive in Pebble Beach and his work with the White Rabbit in Carmel, Luke Lamar’s photography is stunning to say the least. Perhaps his most notable public installation is visible in Ventura in front of the Brakey House. Nearly thirty feet wide, it portrays a semi-accurate historical view of the city c. 1920 from a point perhaps a mile offshore. He has lived and worked with a number of galleries and bohemian outposts throughout the western US for years and is now based in Monterrey. His recent projects include not only countless custom interior landscapes and faux finishes, but also a unique 24 karat gold-leaf interior at an undisclosed private residence in Silicon Valley. Would love to see some more of Luke and Micah’s recent works…miss all you guys!
